Support Project Bhairavi to Empower Women With Menstrual Health & Dignity

Project Objective

To promote menstrual hygiene awareness, access to sanitary products, and community-level health education for women and adolescent girls in underprivileged areas of Delhi — improving overall health outcomes, confidence, and dignity.

Phase 1 – Community Awareness & Engagement

Status: ✅ Completed (3 Awareness Sessions in East Delhi)

Objective:

To break social stigma and build awareness on menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and self-care.

Activities Conducted:

  • Awareness Drives: Door-to-door interactions, and community sessions.
  • Interactive Quiz Sessions: Engaging quizzes on menstrual hygiene; rewarded participants with free sanitary pad kits.

Outcomes Achieved:

  • Awareness increased by 50% in target communities.
  • Active participation from adolescent girls and women.

Volunteers, quiz materials, sanitary pads.

Phase 2 – Survey & Data Collection

Status: ✅ Completed

Objective:

To understand women’s hygiene practices, accessibility challenges, and health conditions to plan future interventions.

Survey Coverage:

  • Total Beneficiaries Surveyed: 150 women (ages 20–50)
  • Method: Door-to-door interactions

Highlights:

Our field team successfully engaged women in open, stigma-free conversations around menstrual health, nutrition, and emotional wellness.

Outcome:

This survey serves as the baseline data for upcoming intervention programs, identifying key focus clusters in East Delhi.

Phase 3 – Implementation & Distribution

Status: Ongoing

Event Date: Starts from 11th November 2025

Venue: Gayatri Mandir, Ganga Vihar, Gokalpuri, Delhi

Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Objective:

To deliver tangible improvements in women’s health and hygiene through direct action.

Planned Activities:

  • Sanitary Pad Distribution Camps: Free or subsidized 3-month supplies; hygiene demonstrations by educators.
  • Basic Health Checkups: Sugar, BP and general health tests with reproductive hygiene counseling.
  • Community Celebration:
    • Felicitation of Chief Guests & Sponsors
    • Volunteer recognition
    • Refreshments and community interaction

Expected Outcomes:

  • 80+ women received hygiene kits
  • Early detection of common infections or anemia
  • Improved menstrual hygiene habits and confidence
